Location: Aarhus, Denmark
Year: March 2010 - May 2010
This assignment consisted of three parts; decoration of inner glass panels, decoration of an inner wall and decoration and design of an external entrance area and facade.
Frit-Oplysningsforbund in Aarhus asked for a both functional and aesthetic decoration of their glass panels, in order to keep a surtain privacy in the meeting rooms. Also they wished for a decorative overall solution that would inspire the employees and contribute to a healthy workinvironment.
The overall concept is based on the values of FO and its complex structure of both courses, summerschools, city projects etc.
As a reference to a tree with its fruits and branches, the decoration spreads throughout the building and connects the floors, the rooms and the exterior with the interior part. The coloured parts are either solid colour areas or black / white pictures, which symbolize FO´s values, as ex. networking, personal qualities, teamwork and confidence.
For the wall decoration and outdoor installation, the materials are steel, glass and paint. As for the inner walls the decoration is print which is applied to the glass panels.
